    This video was very helpful. I just bought my first domain name at godaddy and was trying to decide what host to use. I heard a lot of good reviews about host gator. It seems that a lot of people buy their domain at godaddy then host on host gator. Your video wasn’t just one sided either. You pointed out the good and the bad. After watching this video I decided and am happy with doing what a lot of people do and buy domains from godaddy and host at host gator. Thanks so much!

    There are better hostig companies than HG. Do your research before you leap. Hosting companies pay people to post positive comments about them, including using their own employees to contradict negative comments so beware.

    it’s true, but now they have better Technical Support, I was able to reach a live tech within seconds, they still do have a high price on domain name but as he said you can get it from other companies, Godaddy etc

    yes but you have to wait 60 days to transfer your domain over to host gator if you purchase if from GoDaddy… i got burned with that :(

    they wont give you your EPP auth key unless you have had the domain for 60 days

    thats what NameServers are for, adjust them into your Domain settings, and it works within 1-2 hours

    Two of their tech’s told me they are part of the ONE WORLD ORDER. At first, I thought it was a joke. But the second tech seemed serious. Then I looked at their logos. They have the all seeing eye in their logo on live chat. And their main logo is weird too. I think I am going to switch to someone else. They have started screwing up my sites.

    HostGator is becoming their own domain registrar soon. Registry Rocket will be going away once we become our own registrar.

    Don’t trust these host reviews because they could be an affiliate and have a bias towards the host they are reviewing. The only way to receive accurate information is customer reviews.

    I work at HostGator and I can guarantee you that this guy does NOT work for them, or I would have seen him. Also, sixfigureclicks probably never changed his domain contact information so it was never changed from the HostGator default which is why you never received a domain expiration notice. That was all your fault buddy, so don’t complain.

    thank you….

    Very nice review. Thank you. I’ve just switched to HostGator and am extremely happy with them so far. Their technical support is 2nd to none. I wish my phone company was as responsive and friendly as these guys/gals. NetFirms was the *worst* host I’ve ever used in my life. In the early 90′s I had owned and operated several of my own NT servers, providing webhosting to the general public. I do know what I’m talking about with respect to hosting. HostGator rocks (so far!). Thanks again.

    @NoSirYes Thanks. I’ve had them for something like 3 solid years now. Technical support is amazing. I’ve probably initiated 300 chats over these years, and only had 2 or 3 where they couldn’t help me. And all of them picked up the chat within minutes.

    Wrong. In fact, I even stripped my affiliate links out of this a long time ago.

    @hostthetruth

    Wrong. I make absolutely zero affiliate money from this. I have no affiliate links.
