How do I install and work WordPress on my website?

I’m using GoDaddy.com, and I installed it on the server. I then went to WordPress.org to download it to my computer, but I’m not certain how to link the two, so that I can start using the software! It’s really difficult. Please advise.

You don’t have to install WordPress on your local machine. You can work on it on your site. You don’t "link" the two.

If you must install it locally, then you are going to need to install WAMP, then install the wordpress.org software. http://www.wampserver.com/en/

Do you mean you already have a website and want to install wordpress? If yes then you can install wordpress in a subfolder.

1 Login to your cPanel, go to mySQL database, create a database, and a username. Write it down your database name and password of username you just created.
    2. Next, go to file manager, click "public_html" and click "upload" button.
    3. Browser your wordpress.zip and click upload.
    4. Extract the wordpress.zip in your webserver.
    5. Once it is extracted, Open your URL, should be yourdomain.com/wordpress and install wordpress, type in database, pass, etc.

If you don’t have any website in your webserver and want only to have wordpress, then move the files from wordpress folder to your public_html and install.

You are using GoDaddy so you don’t have to do much. Go daddy will set up the whole thing for you for free. You just need call GoDaddy’s support number 480-505-8877 and tell them that you want to have them help you set up a wordpress site on your account. They walk you right through the whole thing. They did it for me and it was a piece of cake. A lot easier than trying to follow people’s outdated online tutorials!
