what is web hosting? i think its someone who makes websites for people and company! i dont know plz tell me! thanks.

    Web hosting means putting up the files on the internet for ppl to view. Like yahoo.com has put ur question on the internet. :-)

    web hosting is exactly what it sounds like. Its hosting your site on the web. Once you make a site, you have to somehow put it on the web for everyone to see. This is where web hosting comes in. What you are thinking is calling a web developer. They make the websites using HTML.

    While web developer could be used, so could the term "website designer" or even "graphic designer."

    Web hosting is the service where you can put your finished web sites, it does not make a site, unless there is a wizard or a GUI help do that. And its not a person.

    web hosting as the name implies is simply putting your files i.e. pictures, music, html files on a web server so that is can be access by anyone through the net. you can actually modify if the files can be accessed publicly or privately. there are several web hosting sites that can accommodate whatever your needs are.

    You need web hosting to publish your webpages. It is a kind of server which will store your webpages and your data.

    If you are serious about websites either for personal or your business, don’t go to free web hosting as they are usually not reliable and you may end up losing all your hard work. Free web hosts usually put advertisements on your websites and it could be annoying and your site look unprofessional.

    Web hosting is the service that actually hosts your website not the people who make it. The people who make websites are web designers.

    Web hosting is generally when a company buys servers at a data center and then lets you put your files there and assign a domain to it. Kinda like the post office but online and everyone can view your mail :).
