Point me to a cheap web hosting service?
I’m looking for a cheap web hosting site to get a small website of mine online for a project/experiment. I’m not expecting a lot of traffic and the site itself is very small.
I’m looking for a cheap, but good web hosting service to get this going.

My Friend owns this hosting company, its very very good and small private and its fit and finished clean nice simple. Very good hosting offers alot of packages and options.
Down side is you have to know what your doing, support is the only down side to it, due to small amount of people behind it and unless you know him personally you can get fast support, It takes awhile for email support but there is a staff. ( He is in Sweden working with EA DICE on (BLANK) )

If all your looking for is to run a small website try http://www.dustinshostingdeals.com if you have a domain name then sign up for the FREE PLAN .. all you would have to do is point your domains dns to the sites dns host and you would be paying nothing.. the webhosting site doesnt force any banner ads or pop ups like "most other free website" host’s ..And if you start getting close to the limits of the FREE PLAN then you can upgrade to the lowest PIAD PLAN wich is a little under $ 5.00 US month and it gives you 5 or 6 times the space that http://www.godaddy.com offers for the same price.. Hope this helps you !!! but i would try the free plan first to see just how much you really need while your just starting out..plus save you a few bucks..
I think one answer gives you a free hosting option. From what you mentioned, that might be a good deal too (if their service is really good, that is). Since you are not expecting a lot of traffic; maybe that will be good.
But if you don’t find some feature in them which are generally available from paid hosts, then I’d recommend Hawkhost from the following list:
