Joomla question?
I have installed the Joomla on my hosting server, the website I am working at is offline for the moment, but when testing the frontend I wait almost 1 minute to load a page, and I don;t have info on the pages yet that could complicate the view. I have increased the cache but no change. What is the problem here, what should I do to get it load faster?
Note: my server’s PHP and MySQL are compatible with the Joomla requirements.

Help with Joomla FireBoard install?
I have a Joomla website, I had FireBoard 1.0.0 installed and recently noticed that there was an update to 1.0.3. I updated and then had some issues. So I uninstalled my old version and was going to start over fresh with 1.0.3. Now it won’t let me install the forums at all and this message pops up when I try to…
Another component is already using directory: "/srv/www/vhosts/midnightscion.com/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/"
Even though I have uninstalled and looked everywhere to see what the problem is but can’t figure anything out.

Joomla! Question?
I have a computer, a Dell Precision Workstation Desktop. I wanted to run Joomla! but it’s only for Linum and Windows NT/2000. I’m running Windows Vista Enterprise. Does anyone know a program similar to Joomla! ?
I tried that, it won’t work. I need something that is pretty much the same as Joomla, that will let me make users, etc. easilly.

If joomla makes it so much easier for people to make websites with little or basic knowledge of coding, why dont web design companies use it? (with the exception of the ones that do use it)
Is knowing how to use Dreamweaver enough to become a web page designer?
A friend is teaching me how to use Dreamweaver, so I can build my own website.
But is this program all I need to know. There seems to be a heck of a lot of other stuff which I dont know what they are. For example, what the heck is Joomla?
To me Dreamweaver is like a Microsoft Word, for webpages, since you write and do everything like in Word and Dreamweaver those all the coding for you.
Am I oversimplifying it?
