How to make a website search feature using Mysql, PHP, and HTML?

How do I make a search feature in my website that searches through databases stored in MS Access? Where do I store PHP Script in order to allow a site search? Is PHPmyAdmin necessary in order to use a site search using PHP? What can Microsoft Mysql Server 2005 do that Access can’t?

First off, mysql is not microsoft. Second use mysql and you won’t go back to access, trust me. as far as what mysql can do that access can’t (lots of stuff)

As for connecting to a ms access database you need to create an ODBC connection then you reference that in php. But it would be far easier if you could put your tables in mysql.

Use this reference for PHP and ODBC
    http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.odbc-connect.php

You’re in way over your head……hire a programmer if this is urgent.

Try some of the standard web ste providers. Microsoft (free domain and hosting for life) , Google (Googlepages, Blogger) , Yahoo (Geocities), Freewebs are some of the companies offering free websites with design tools . A list of free websites with features and links is available at http://tinyurl.com/lw7kp
