Help! I type everything that you see at 2:55, and I open it with Firefox, it doesn’t show anything. (and yes I saved it, and there is stuff written in count.txt, I have XAMPP installed.)

Found my problem. I was typing the location of the file. You’re supposed to go to: localhost/blahblah.php

What happens with a very busy site where many hundreds of people may be loading the page at the same time?
your computer will turn into bluescreen… rofl no just kidding, might overwrite something so the counter doesn’t show correct value.
it needs to end in count.php isnt it?
