@DLbeat SXC can be hit-or-miss, but the quality of images for free makes it worth the not-so-great speeds. Of course that is also an issue because of the amount of traffic the site gets. All things considered it’s a great site!

@CT2507 Thanks for the kind words, I’d be nice if you’d explain what I need to do to make my neon look less “crappy”.

@EndreBjorgo I would try going Edit>Fill and choose a color that way. I should know what this issue is, but off the top of my head it’s just not coming to me…

@karrotsrkool I’m on the CS5 boat already, but I can’t tell you much more than that. I have some other-than-photoshop tutorial lined up to go soon.

@tutvid I just finished the Apple grungy background type one, except I tried to base mine around StarCraft. I used a silhouette of a Terran Ghost and instead of a car grill I used a dropship. :)

That’s awesome :D The holes look like they should be 3D on here, a if it’s a pouch. If you want to follow along with that, just paint little white sections (not too big of course opacity of around 50-60) on the side of the hole and then use the smudge tool and kinda zig-zag it to give it more of a 3D look.
To make it look more like a hole, you should just try to make the colours fade a little more (become darker as it gets to the hole) and give the edges of the hole a smoother look.

  24. TheWindows7HD on April 27th, 2010 11:08 pm

Can you provide other photo link that does not require logins.

  25. TheMeaning0fLife on April 29th, 2010 7:16 pm

@minxamo All light produces a shadow or glare.
